Outside Sales Representative

 

Job Description 

Location: California, Primarily and National, as required 

Job Type: Full time, Exempt 

Reports to: President 

Job Summary 

Towa is seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to increase sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers in California, primarily, but also Nation-wide. This role is for a highly independent individual who will spend the majority of their time away from the office, engaging directly with prospective and existing clients to sell PDMs, BPSs, and Power Vaults, as well as new products as they become available. 

Responsibilities 

  • Generate new business:  Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through lead qualification, cold-calling, email campaigns, networking, and referrals. 
  • Manage sales territory:  Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals within the assigned territory. 
  • Build client relationships:  Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients through regular in-person meetings and follow-up. 
  • Conduct sales presentations:  Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to potential and existing clients. 
  • Utilize CRM:  Track and manage all sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress using HubSpot. 
  • Market research:  Stay informed of market trends, industry developments, and competitor activity to inform sales strategy. 
  • Close deals:  Skillfully close sales agreements based on established company pricing guidelines. 
  • Collaborate internally:  Coordinate with inside sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Perform administrative tasks:  Timely submission of sales reports, expense reports, and other documentation. 

Requirements 

  • Experience:  Proven track record of success in an outside or field sales capacity, with a strong ability to build rapport.  
  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience. 
  • California-specific compliance:  Must be 18 years of age or older and willing to work customarily and regularly more than 50% of the working time away from TOWA’s place of business. 
  • Independent work:  Highly self-motivated, with the discipline and independent judgment to thrive in a remote work environment. 
  • Communication skills:  Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively engage with clients at all levels. 
  • Technical proficiency:  Familiarity with HubSpot and Microsoft Office Suite. QuickBooks experience a plus. 
  • Travel:  Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
