City of Oakland Saved Nealry $30,000 from a TOWA Retro-E Conversion
In January of 2021, The City of Oakland passed an ordinance that bans the use of combustion engine-powered leaf blowers and string timmers. The City’s landscape division started converting its landscape equipment to Mean Green and STIHL battery-powered commercial equipment three years ago, but now they estimating to spend $50,000 to buy new battery-powered line trimmers for their crews.
